Upstream Unlocks Another Well in Louisiana
Upstream Exploration makes a gas condensate discovery onshore Louisiana.

Metairie, Louisiana-based Upstream Exploration LLC has made another discovery in East Cox Bay Field, the BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast announced Oct.

8.

The Palmetto D Discovery is the third well by the BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast in the East Cox Bay Field, located in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.

The Palmetto D Discovery:

  • encountered 59 feet of net gas condensate pay with no apparent water level from a 75-foot gross interval in a geopressured Middle Miocene age sand
  • flowed approximately 675 gross barrels of oil and 4.9 million cubic feet of gas per day, with no water on a 13/64-inch choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 5,800 psi
  • was drilled to a total vertical depth of 12,302 feet

Upstream, a private exploration and oil rig flanges gulf coast production company, has a 100 percent working interest in the well and now controls a 100 percent working interest in nearly 4,100 acres in the East Cox Bay Field. The BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast has identified three additional drilling locations in the field.

Upstream’s president Michael Willis said in a BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast statement that he is pleased with the company’s continued exploratory success.

“We continue to generate strong operational cash flow and are funding all of our drilling opportunities through internal cash generation,” he said. “With a strong and clean balance sheet, increasing oil rig flanges gulf coast production and pricing, we are poised for a very successful year in 2019.”

Last year, Willis told Rigzone that that wasn’t successful, but noted other opportunities in the Middle Miocene region.
