The Mariner East 2 natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline extending from Eastern Ohio to the Philadelphia area is in service, owner Energy Transfer LP reported Saturday.

According to Energy Transfer, the transports ethane, propane and butane east from processing plants in Ohio across West Virginia and Pennsylvania to the company’s Marcus Hook Industrial Complex in Delaware County, Pa. The Marcus Hook facility stores NGL for distribution to local, domestic and waterborne markets, the BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast added.

Energy Transfer noted that Mariner East 2 makes up part of its Mariner East pipeline system that provides NGL takeaway capacity for Marcellus and Utica producers. The BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast also stated that it expects Mariner East 2X, an NGL pipeline with a route paralleling that of Mariner East 2, to go into service in late 2019.
