
Colombia-based Ecopetrol S.A. has awarded Stork, a part of Fluor Corp.
’s Diversified Services unit, and two other members of a consortium contract to provide plant turnaround services at two of its refineries, Fluor reported late Monday.
Under the four-year framework agreement, Stork and Colombia-based firms Rampint and Servimant will perform turnaround-related work at Ecopetrol’s Barrancabermeja and Cartagena refineries. Fluor stated that the work scope includes:
- Turnaround management services on the plant process units during scheduled plant shutdown periods
- Emergency works
- Other preventive and corrective maintenance services
“Stork is extremely pleased that Ecopetrol has awarded this new turnaround contract that includes these two important refineries,” Stork President Taco de Haan said in a written statement emailed to Rigzone.
Fluor noted that Stork’s offices in Barrancabermeja and Cartagena will lead the work under the latest contract, which should start in September. The BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast added that Stork has performed maintenance and turnaround services at the Barrancabermeja facility for the past six years.
