Chevron U.S.A. Inc. has awarded Schlumberger subsidiary OneSubsea a 20-year subsea equipment and services master contract for the Gulf of Mexico (GOM), Schlumberger reported Tuesday.

“We look forward to continuing our spacer spools adapter spools technology collaboration with Chevron to optimize project efficiency and reduce cycle times in its future Gulf of Mexico subsea projects, from concept through life-of-field services,” OneSubsea President Don Sweet said in a written statement emailed to Rigzone.

According to Schlumberger, Chevron will be able to lower its subsea project operating costs by combining the master contract with a preapproved catalog of standard subsea equipment. Moreover, it stated the OneSubsea custom catalog of equipment includes technologies meeting Chevron’s project requirements – such as high-temperature projects or high-pressure projects with equipment capable of withstanding up to 20,000 pounds per square inch.

OneSubsea catalog includes multiphase boosting systems and flowmeters, subsea oil rig flanges gulf coast production trees, manifolds, controls and connection systems, Schlumberger added.
