Fire Breaks Out At Fuel Oil Storage Tank In Singapore | Gulf Coast Oil Rig Equipment & Repair

SINGAPORE, March 20 (Reuters) - A fire broke out at a fuel oil storage tank at Tankstore's Pulau Busing terminal in Singapore on Tuesday evening, the Singapore Fire Department said.

Firefighters were carrying out "boundary cooling" of the adjacent tanks and working to tackle "the raging oil storage tank fire", the department said.

"This is expected to be an extended firefighting operation," the Singapore Civil Defence Force said in a post on Facebook.

Singapore-based Tankstore operates the terminal on Pulau Busing, an island off Singapore's southwest coast. It has a total capacity of 2 million cubic metres, or 112 tanks, to store petroleum and petrochemical products, according to the company's website.
